Destination Worcestershire is the official Destination
Marketing Partnership made up of tourism organisations from across
the public, private and voluntary sectors.
The main objective is to promote and
develop tourism in the county for the benefit of the local
economy.
Destination Worcestershire currently has
over 500 members, made up of accommodation establishments
(including hotels, bed & breakfasts, guest houses, self
catering properties, caravan & camping sites, etc),
attractions, restaurants, pubs, tearooms, etc

Supports the
promotion & development of Conference-Worcestershire as part of
their economic development work.
It is well documented that business tourism
helps to boost leisure tourism by encouraging return visits.
It is estimated that tourism accounts for over 11,000 jobs and
about £500m per annum for Worcestershire.

The Heart of England: The West Midland
Region
A marketing partnership between all the West Midland
Regions: Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Shropshire
& Telford, South Warwickshire, Coventry, Black Country &
Birmingham, with the aim of raising the profile of the west
midlands region as a tourist destination.
Supported by Advantage West Midlands (AWM),
the Regional Development Agency (RDA).
Each individual destination also offers a conference service
equivalent to that of
Conference-Worcestershire with local
knowledge and expertise. The conference desks all work together to
promote 'business tourism' within the area under the umbrella of
'Meet Heart of England'.

Eventia
is recognised as the official trade body of the events and live
marketing industry providing leadership and representation on
important issues to Government, regulators and the corporate
community.
The association was created in January 2006,
following the merger between two complementary trade associations:
the Corporate Events Association (CEA) and the Incentive Travel
& Meetings Association (ITMA). The British Association of
Conference Destinations (BACD) was subsumed into Eventia from
January 2009.
Eventia promotes the highest standards of
professionalism and best practice in the industry. All members of
the association adhere to a Code of Practice which governs the
spirit and method of all commercial activities and conduct of
business.

Meetings Industry Association:
The MIA is the UK and Ireland'
s leading professional organisation for the meetings industry.
Founded in 1990 the MIA is the largest trade
association for all organisations involved in the meetings industry
and has become the forum for all professional organisations
committed to improving the standards of the UK meetings
industry.
In 2010 the new MIA
Destinations group formed to work together to share best
practice; to give a voice to the industry and to show their support
for the MIA's own accreditation scheme
AIM.
AIM is the only meetings
industry standard endorsed by VisitBritain, Visit England, Visit
Wales, Meeting Professionals International and the Association of
British Professional Conference Organisers.
It offers an assurance to
buyers that members will deliver their promise of
exceptional standards, it confirms that members operate legally and
ethically and that they have achieved accreditation to at least the
minimum entry level.
